the morning fog ii

setting and forgetting. the outward culture of laziness and force-fed information. was is it to really know the land, the people and the culture? finding time only to withstand the mediocrities of daily reports on heath, the state of affairs, the environment — but too exhausted to do anything about it. peace is finding your own time to think and concentrate on your next move. patience it knowing when it is right to act. real freedom is the ability to speak against atrocities that others may not be able to. it is important, however, to include the masses… the uninformed are the ones we are fighting for.

passing the baton and finding solace in the dark corner of that quite space. it was only a little more time before they would come and find everything they needed to know. peace was declared, but it was only an idea, not a practice. we had become pawns… mere experiments used to gather information that would eventually be used against us. what were we fighting for? what do we have left?

the press was now almost completely controlled. freedom was something constantly talked about but not practiced. there was freedom to say that there was freedom or to praise the regime, but never criticize it.
