artist statements — past and existing
stillness in motion; fast unpredictable motion throughout stillness. i vaguely remember whether my movements are intentionally vague, vaguely intentional or intentionally unintentioned.
acknowledging the absurdity of our daily lives. quick, unstoppable motion only until devastation; discovering our own mortality, our weaknesses seem ever-present. i work with spacial confinements, manipulating them to more fully interact with the viewers experience. stillness attempts to challenge the viewer to confront their own assumptions. through a quiet-minimalism i seek clarity both spatially and temporally.
space defined as a working matrix; as in the human condition, lived experience, confounded through space and time. the existence of time, whether on our wrists or through [endless] space — working as a confrontational force. space and time, then endless dichotomy through [in] which we live, defines the human experience. reaction.
mixing the world with truths and untruths; honestly, corruption — does it end? are we already there? formalities become endless tombs of deceit and foreseeable haplessness. to begin is to end; ultimately lighted entanglement dangles a web for the weak pretenders.
memory, the fleeting moment; reality. our world consists of concentric circles leading to fathoms deep above — unreachable crevices. humanness [creates] begins the journey. simple, immediate and the now; spontaneity in search of real[ity]. memory as a device; predictable, seen and unseen, fills the gaps between known and unknown. completed, then filled, the human experience imagined.
