the perry gallery is proud to present the abstract multi-process imagery from artist, lori hinrichsen. the exhibition will open with a reception for the artist, 4 may 2006 from 6-9p. there will also be a first friday reception during may’s art walk on 5 may 2006, from 6-9p. the show will run to 27 may 2006.
the gallery will feature lori’s new mixed media work as well as photography and monotypes. this exhibition will represent the last six months of work during her stay at the vermont studio center. lori hinrichsen grew up in iowa in a family of 12 kids. she went to the university of kansas, lawrence, and graduated with a degree in theatre, film and video. for the past two years she has participated in consecutive art residencies at the mendocino art center in northern california. she arrived in vermont july 2005 and is currently a resident staff artist at the vermont studio center in johnson vermont. her creative processes include printmaking, photography, painting, and mixed media.
