artists zach seeger and john ros will work together to create a collaborative, immersive and responsive installation of work throughout butterfield’s building and grounds. this collaborative project will incorporate the history and architecture of the space in the creation of actions/reactions and interventions. the resulting mixed media experience will embody elements of time, action and perception — as the connection unfolds both visually and contextually. this project will offer the artists a chance to build upon their 20+ year artistic friendship and to further investigate their relationship and artistic practices in a layered and multifaceted visual conversation.

response:
due to some issues with the venue, zach seeger and john ros will reprise pocket, the collaborators’ gallery from 2001-04, to present their work in-front of butterfields cafe during the upstate art weekend (22-24 july 2022).
