from the curator:
john ros focuses on sustainability driving him to re-use and recycle materials and objects from work to work. through a site-responsive process he is able to change their meaning, their purpose and placement, stimulating and provoking a new dialogue with each piece.
his piece sans titre, created especially for the ambivalent exhibition, has been installed in an out of the way space, giving the impression it could be extraneous and almost forgotten.
john said about sans titre: “the silence created in this piece will exist as a tool for contemplation. the meditative and absurd at play trigger a response from the viewer — ideally, contemplative, one walks away with a sense of mystery and intrigue”.
